This program is designed for adults with developmental and/or intellectual differences who have an interest in finding realistic and meaningful employment. In this program, students will explore interests, values, and skills and determine their wants, needs, and barriers to employment. They will research the job planning process, determine what type of job they would like to apply for, and begin setting goals to get ready for the application process.

Program Outcomes

  • Examine values, interests, and skills and analyze environmental demands and barriers to employment to determine meaningful employment options.
  • Research the job planning process to determine the direction and validity of career interests.
  • Analyze the decision-making process and decide on individual goals for moving forward in the application process.
