Student will gain understanding in occupancy fire detection and alarms systems, heat and smoke controls, special protection systems, fire sprinklers, water supply, and portable fire extinguishers. Student will understand the installation, maintenance, operation and testing of fire protection systems. Required instructional trips. Total of 54 hours lecture.
