The Medical Translation and Interpretation certificate program provides students with the essential skills and workforce preparation needed for careers in medical translation and interpretation. The curriculum also prepares students to transition to credit healthcare programs. Students gain knowledge in medical translation and interpretation for medical visits and procedures in a multilingual medical system. Techniques include sight translation and simultaneous and consecutive interpretation. A Certificate of Completion is awarded upon completion of Module A [TRLN 1000] and Module B [TRLN 1001] with a total of 108 academic hours, exceeding certification application requirements by the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (NBCMI), the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI), and the American Translators Association (ATA).
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded upon successful completion of all required courses.
