Legal Translation and Interpretation – Certificate of Completion

The Legal Translation and Interpretation certificate program provides students with the essential skills and workforce preparation needed for careers in legal translation and interpretation. The curriculum also prepares students to transition to credit paralegal programs. Students gain knowledge in legal translation and interpretation for judicial procedures in a multilingual court system. Techniques include sight translation and simultaneous and consecutive interpretation. A Certificate of Completion is awarded upon completion of Module A [TRLN 2000] and Module B [TRLN 2001] with a total of 108 academic hours, exceeding the certification application requirements of the California Judicial Council and the Administrative Office of the United States Courts.

A Certificate of Completion will be awarded upon successful completion of all required courses.
