The ESLN 5 certificate program provides intensive English as a Second Language integrated instruction in reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills and vocabulary development for advanced ESL students. The program prepares students to effectively use oral and written communication skills in everyday life and work contexts. Emphasis is on student progress in listening for specific information, asking clarifying questions, participating in conversations, and writing simple paragraphs. By completing ESLN 1065A, 1065B and 1065C, students will be prepared to enter the Credit ESL program.
A Certificate of Competency is awarded upon completion of all required courses.
