0956.30The Machine Shop Technology program provides students with the technical knowledge and hands-on skills required for employment in modern manufacturing environments. The program emphasizes precision machining, computer numerical control (CNC) operations, blueprint reading, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Students learn to apply quality assurance practices, interpret engineering drawings, and operate industry-standard equipment to produce components that meet professional specifications. Graduates are prepared for entry-level positions such as machinist, CNC operator, or manufacturing technician and are equipped to advance in the growing field of advanced manufacturing.
A Certificate of Achievement is awarded upon completion of all required courses with a grade of C or better.

General Education Requirements for the Associate in Science Degree

- Students who have previously been awarded a bachelor‛s degree or higher from a U.S. institutionally accredited institution shall be deemed to have fulfilled the general education and elective course requirements for the Associate in Science degree.
