1009.00The curriculum prepares students with some prior design background to seek entry-level employment/internship in the industrial design professions, which encompass product, transportation, environmental and entertainment design. Students also use portfolios for transfer application to four-year and graduate institutions. Innovation and the creative design process are the focus of the program. Completion of the program results in a portfolio of projects.
An Occupational Skills Certificate is awarded upon completion of all required courses with a grade of C or better.

- Create hands-on projects that demonstrate basic design processes which include problem definition, research, concept development and refinement, and final presentation.

- Analyze, evaluate and improve designs through the critique process.
