0506.00This program is designed for exploring foundational knowledge of data analytics applications in a business environment. The Business Data Analytics program is designed to prepare students to model, synthesize, analyze, and present large data sets for business decision- making. Courses will focus on the techniques and computer software used throughout the industry to extract data from various sources, with the aim of modeling, interpreting, and presenting the data for business decision-making and intelligence gathering.
A Certificate of Achievement is awarded upon completion of all required courses with a grade of C or better.
Program Outcomes
- Discuss the roles and responsibilities associated with analyzing data in the business analytics and business intelligence fields.
- Examine predictive analytic solutions and data mining opportunities that address business objectives.
- Construct appropriate business reports and decisions that effectively communicate data analysis results for technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Analyze large data sets using methods for data exploration, pattern discovery, prediction and answering business questions.
- Demonstrate skill in statistical programing and modeling techniques to perform data analysis on end-to-end projects that focus on on real world data and business problems.

General Education Requirements for the Associate in Science Degree

- Students who have previously been awarded a bachelor‛s degree or higher from a U.S. institutionally accredited institution shall be deemed to have fulfilled the general education and elective course requirements for the Associate in Science degree.
